Trust supports women involved in or exited from street prostitution and women involved in, moving on from, or at risk of involvement in the Criminal Justice System in South London.

 

About the opportunity

Trust, a Women’s Project in Lambeth, South London, is looking to recruit volunteers for the various services provided. The project currently provides a range of services to women in the community including; Outreach, a Court Diversion Scheme, Group work, Drop in, Housing and benefits advice, Probation link work and 1:1 key working.

The experiences of the women you will be working with are likely to include trauma, substance misuse, domestic and sexual violence and as well as a wide range of housing, health, employment and other personal and practical issues.

 

What are we looking for?

Trust is a Women-Only service and therefore we are looking for female applicants only. All volunteers role are subject to an Enhanced CRB check.

Volunteer time required

We are ideally looking for different volunteers to help with the various services we provide:

Outreach; Wednesday 10-12am and Sunday 10-12am

Court Diversion; Wednesday 9- 12pm

Drop in; Wednesday and Friday 2-5pm

After care; Alternative therapy sessions Monday and Thursday 2-5pm

What can you expect from us?

You will gain a wealth of experience working in a small, warm and caring environment with women who hold a real passion and dedication towards helping other women make the changes they desire. We offer an induction, experience of working with our specific client group and supervision.  We also pay travel and subsistence expenses up to a maximum of £6 per day
