Luke Shore will be joining our

‘I am young and I am winning’ panel on Saturday 23rd March at Birkbeck, University of London.

Luke was part of the international coordination of the Occupy movement and was a member of the teams that coordinated the global demonstrations on the 15th October 2011 and 12th May 2012 which mobilised an estimated two million protesters in 1009 cities in 86 countries worldwide.

Luke is a student unionist and is leading efforts to develop school student representation in the UK. He represents English students at a European level and is currently leading cooperation between 23 national school student unions across Europe to agree a resolution on ‘Education in Crisis’ to deliver to the European Union . He is a young advisor to the democratic education charity, the Phoenix Education Trust and also works with Chernobyl Children’s Lifeline.

In the last few months he has spoken on education and youth matters at the Royal Society of Medicine, Warwick University, the Royal Festival Hall, Wellington College and the University of Paris VI.

Luke is fifteen and currently studying his A-Levels in Bingham, Nottinghamshire.
