Hakeem is Marketing Consultant with over 20 years of Music & Media industry experience, working alongside some of the world’s hottest artists & biggest entertainment companies. He is now a freelance Marketing & Promotions consultant heading up USM Media Group with clients past & present such as Universal Music; EMI; British Film Institute; Def Jam Rapstar video game; Lil Jon; Pitbull & Kano to name just a few.Hakeem’s career began in early 90’s as a bedroom DJ & working in an Underground record store in East London to pirate radio and interning at various labels.

He progressed to work in various roles for Hardzone PR; Trace Magazine (where he was the first person to use the ‘Street Team’ concept in the UK) and Choice FM through to forming the Urban department at Warner Music UKas Senior Urban A&R/Promotions
