Opportunity for an artist to work on 2-D wall mounted art work for school library

White Meadows Primary School in Littlehampton is looking for an artist to work with children across the school, ranging from the ages of 3-11, to produce a piece of work to display in their school library.  They would like the work to reflect both the name of the school – White Meadows – and the 5 core values for the school: Responsibility, Respect, Enjoyment, Independence and Caring.

The final piece needs to cover a wall space approximately 3m wide by 2.5m high and could comprise one large piece or several pieces which  together to make a complete piece.

White Meadows Primary School opened in September 2011 as a result of the amalgamation of Wickbourne Infant and Nursery School and Flora McDonald Junior School. Their web site is www.whitemeadows.w-sussex.sch.uk

Those interested should email the head teacher Luisa Gould at head@whitemeadows.w-sussex.sch.uk by Friday June 1 2012 with their CV and a letter briefly outlining their interest in the project and relevant previous experience.  You are also welcome to include visual support material.

Those shortlisted will be invited to the school for an informal interview week beginning 11 June.

The work should be carried out between 18 June and the end of the summer term.

The fee is £1000 plus materials.
