Looking to kick-start your career in publishing?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and well-organised individual to provide the CEO of PenguinUK with full administrative support.

Responsibilities will include the full range of PA duties including diary management, co-ordinating and prioritising workflow, and efficiently supporting business activity as required.

You would also support the Penguin UK Finance Director with diary management and administrative tasks.

Although the focus of your role will be administrative, this is a one-off opportunity to get a bird’s eye view of Penguin UK, which could be an invaluable asset in helping you forge a career in publishing. Once you have got to grips with your core tasks, it is likely there will be plenty of opportunities to get involved in some exciting areas of the business and to build on your publishing experience.

The ideal applicant must have a high level of professional integrity, be proactive, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to demonstrate exceptional organisational and project management skills together with initiative to prioritise a varied and demanding workload. Positive and proactive, you should be educated to degree level or equivalent and previous PA and/or publishing experience would be a bonus. Excellent interpersonal and Microsoft Office skills are also essential – together with a good sense of humour, and an unflappable nature.

Please apply with a CV and covering letter by 4pm on Tuesday 31st May 2012.
