Latoya Andree Kessie will be joining our PR and marketing Master Class at Birkbeck, University of London on Wednesday 20th February.  She is currently a PR Executive at WPP’s ( ) renowned sports marketing company – PRISM (Public Relations and International Sports ).





Beginning of PR

Latoya’s first taste of PR was back when she worked for a fabrication company Zone Creations – during her placement year. The company’s clients included Buckingham Palace, Harrods and major event production companies. Although in a small business to business (B2B) organisation she quickly learnt the foundations of PR and managed to achieve front page coverage for the company within a year with a major trade publication called Interior Design Today.

Sport PR

GT1 Marc VDSLatoya currently works at a sports marketing firm. Although her main function is in events, Latoya will explain how events and maintaining client relationships is critical for Public Relations in the sport industry. She mainly works with brands sponsorship programmes including Ford’s UEFA Champions League Sponsorship and has done some work with Infiniti Red Bull Racing – whom after two season’s of sponsoring the Formula One Team are now the official Vehicle Performance Partner of the team.


Latoya has also worked on short term athlete management projects and will discuss the aspects of PR that should be taken when managing athlete logistics.

Fashion PR

DSC_0266Latoya has always had a wide range of interests in creative arts such as dance, music and fashion. In her spare time, she has a blogs for FashionClutter ( Latoya set up FashionClutter 8 months ago and is slowly building a fan base for her blog. She has been invited to many fashion shows and now networks with a variety of Fashion PR agencies when dealing with her blog. FashionClutter has grown her skills and has moved her into other areas of creative production including photography and video production.

Latoya has a traditional educational background. During A-Levels she studied Economics, Government and Politics and Psychology and achieved a First Class Honours Degree in Business Management at the University of Surrey.
