Anne-Marie Batson will be speaking on our Push YOU (PR, Marketing and Communications) Master Class at Birkbeck, University of London on Wednesday 22nd May 2013.

Anne-Marie is a Communications Manager in the transport sector, Anne-Marie has over six years experience working in-house communications at Network Rail.

Anne-Marie joined Network Rail in spring 2007 as a Community Safety Manager in the communications practice, where she worked on public relations safety campaigns such as ‘No Messin’ (railway safety for children & young people) and ‘Don’t Run the Risk (level crossings).

In summer 2010, Anne-Marie became a Communications Manager advising on transport improvements key messages focused on political, community and media audiences. Anne-Marie has also assisted crisis communications and reputation management issues during engineering over runs and disruptive works.

She works in one of the UK’s most scrutinised organisations, delivering campaigns that integrate media, stakeholder relations, public affairs and digital communications.

Prior to working in-house communications, Anne-Marie developed a portfolio career including event managing, public relations and presenting for five years.

Anne-Marie graduated from Luton University in 1998 with an Honours degree in Media Practices. She also has a Level One qualification in British Sign Language.
